sree matha

Sree=this one root letter denotes so many many concepts and meanings;Sree is sacred,auspicious,prosperity,authority,knowledge,power,life force, and much more.
Maathaa=mother.
SREE Maathaa is the mother of universe.
One doesn't become a mother unless there is desire.
the very originater of this desire is Sri matha.Desire to become Many.The one becomes many.Yet remains ONE.the very origin of creation and delusion[maya] and the capacity to remain beyond delusion.that is Sree Maathaa.The very first nama contains the seed of all the other names.This is the beauty of the Lalita rahasya[secret]nama stotRA. Acquire her GRace.Let her unveil the secret of her chidananda roopam-infinite powerful ecstacy and bliss and the containment of such Bliss.Just as the earth holds a tiny seed causing it to sprout and grow,To the SRee maathaa,this universe is but a seed. She contains it, holds it, infusing it with life giving force and the subtle energy ; Srimata is the unknown, Strength of this universe.
SHE is ever a pregnant mother to be; At the same time Ever a feeding mother of a new born;And this is the eternally a fresh mother who is ever creating.Sree maatha ,my mother almighty. The motherhood of all mothers; The very origin and the basis of Nature. Yet you are ever benevoulant to me for i'm OF YOU,A miniscule you.
This infinite ONE is Srimaataa.the very first nama, ofTHE 1008 names of the goddess
Sree lalita tripura sundaree.

sadasiva anugrahadaa pancha krutya parayana

sadasiva=always in union,with himself and the world,one who has acheived the balance of being in the world,while being within himself.
anugrahadaa=one who has bestowed grace upon
panchakrutya=srushti,sthiti,laya,anugraha and tirodaanaas are the pancha krutyas.parayana=causing;beyond all causes.
that's creation,sustanance, destruction, re -creation and benevelounce. these are the 5 krutyas[actions/works]she performs.
the deities who are assigned with these pancha krutyas are brahma,vishnu, rudra, eswara,sadasiva.
brahma,vishnu, rudra, eeswara become the four posts of her simhaasanam;sadasivaa receives her benevoulance as he is the plank of her royal throne[simhaasanam].
the grace of lalitadevi bestows the sakti-the capabilities,abilities,vigour,strength,energy to brahma,vishnu,rudra,eeswara . these are functionaries of lalita's grace. BRAHMA creates ,vishnu sustains,rudra destroys,eeswara re -creates what is taken back by rudra,WHILE sadaasiva the eternal blissful yogi recieves her benevoulance,lalita her self the cause and beyond the pancha krutyas.

sruti seemanta sindhoori kruta padabja dhoolikaa

paadaabja=effulgent lotus feet;seemanta=beyond the borders; also the partion in the hair ;sruti=of scriptures;dhoolika=dusty;sindhoori=the vermilion/kumkum paste applied on the forehead.
the scriputes bow low down at the effulgent lotus feet of the mother lalita;for she is sreemata,the origin of script,and the knowledge beyond the seers of the scriptures; the seers by touching the lotus feet of mother ,thefloral dust of her lotus feet becoming vermilion paste on their foreheads,have authored the scriptures.
contemplate,if the mere dust of her feet can cause one to author profound scriptures,what does happen to one who 'knows' her!sadasiva anugrahadaa pancha krutya parayanaa-i'll contemplate on this and write again.

bahirmukha=outward looking/material worldy wise
su=positively[meaning inthe context of this namam];durlabha=tough to get ;
An outward looking person,Can not get to know mother lalita,in a positive way. One who turns INWARDS knows everything.
contemplate:who is uttering the nama?is it the mouth?the mind?where is the urge to do the nama stored/where is this data base?who is receiving the effect of this nama?who is enjoying it?

antarmukha samaraadhya

antarmukha=looking inwards/one who looks in to himself;beyond manas,buddi,chitta and ahamkara;
samaaraadhya=worshipped with equanimity/
a person who has transcended the antahkarana chatushtayas[manas,buddi,chitta,ahankaram]himself becomes DEVI.where is the need for a form /idol/image for them to worship?they have transcended the physical;at this state, the worship,the worshipped and the worshipper are one and the same. this state is acheived by a practioner of srividya by following the dictum"guru,mantra,devataatmanam ikyam vibhavayeth".ITmeams-the guru,the given mantra[mantra is the sookshma sareera i.e.subtle form of the deity of the mantra]the deity of the mantra and the practitioner of the mantra becoming one and the same.baalaa puja,suvasini puja etc are practiced towards acheiving this goal.this practice of worshipping "live forms",teaches one,eventually to respect all the life forms as sacred.the knowlege the creator dwells in HIS creation becomes personal.

srushti kartree............samharinee.......tirodhanakareeswaree

.srushti kartree=creatress;brahmaroopa=one who takes on the form of 'brahma' to create;
gopthree=one who is hiding;hidden;secretive;
govinda roopini=one who takes the form of govinda;the root syllable 'gow'has many meanings
gowinda roopini sustains creatures;the cow is called 'gow',[its milk nourishes]the nourisher is govinda,[the cowherder krishna is also called govinda]
samhaarinee=one who kills for welfare ;rudra roopa=one who takes the form of rudra;
rudra=one of the 11 forms of siva;rudra is the one who takes back what is created;a flower unfolds,blooms then the petals wither and fall off;the fallen petals fertilise the earth to sustain fresh creation;
the art of creation,sustanance and destruction the ordainer of such a cycle is our mother lalita;
the next nama qualifies all these qualities.here she is called ''tirodhanakareeswaree''
tirodhanakareeswaree=the ''recycler'';she creates nourishes takes back;again creates sustains and destroys and so on...this is an on going eternal process.
this happens all the time within our bodies too...thousands of cells are destroyed and created ;
food is eaten assimilated and the waste excreted this waste creates another life- form bacteria..
matter is neither created nor destroyed only the form changes.the personification of this concept is '' tirodhanakareeswaree.''this process of creation nouishment and destruction is secretive and hidden ;not visible to sensory perceptions . in the ritual srichakraarchana the worship is done with bothkramas[methods] ie ''srushti krama'' and ''samhara krama''both unfoldment[srushti/open];[samhara/close] srichakrarchana done by upasakas creates a heightened awareness of ones real self;years of practice and preparation is necessary for this;certainly not for everybody.

the srividya upasaka ends his daily practices with this invocation,"guhyati guhya goptreetvam gruhanasmatkrutam japam[poojanam]siddirbhavatu me devi tatprasadan maheswaree".

this verse emphathises the secretive nature of the practices for only a few have the yogyata needed for actual practice of srividya.
